How does shipping work?
Depending on the piece of art, your order is either shipped directly from the artist’s studio or from Citizen Atelier. Original pieces and limited-editions for the most part ship directly from the artist, whereas open edition prints and acrylics are shipped directly from us. Citizen Atelier ensures that each piece is packaged and shipped with the utmost care using top quality materials. What are your shipping costs?
Shipping costs vary by artist. The prices are determined by the dimensions/weight of the artwork and by the type of work that is being shipped. See the tab entitled “Shipping” on the individual product page for exact shipping costs.
How long will it take to receive my work of art?
Delivery times vary by piece. Please see the individual product page for exact shipping times. Please note that as of 2020 and the current international situation with Covid, shipping times may be longer than what is indicated on the product page due to delays on the end of shipping companies.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! For orders placed outside of Canada, the United States and the European Union, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a customized quote.
Do I have to pay for taxes or customs & duties?
American and international residents will not be charged taxes. Canadian residents will be required to pay a provincial sales tax on their orders. When you proceed to purchase at checkout, sales tax will be calculated on the total value.
Customs and duties may potentially be charged upon receipt of your package. Thanks to NAFTA, in most cases, duties and taxes will not be charged if you live in North America and are purchasing art from a North American artist or if you are purchasing an open edition print from Citizen Atelier. These fees may nonetheless be charged and are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to making a purchase.
How is the artwork packaged?
Print only orders are shipped in a protective tube while framed pieces and acrylics are shipped in a flat box. Each piece of art is packed with utmost care to ensure it arrives in pristine condition.
Do you offer exchanges and returns?
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase.
If for some reason, you don't love your artwork, please get in touch with us at email@example.com and we will do everything we can to address it. Given that the Atelier is an online marketplace and each piece is made to order, every return is dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
As all pieces are custom made to order, exchanges are not currently accepted.
Which countries do you ship framed art to?
Framing is currently available for customers within the continental USA and Canada. Framing is not available for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Guam, or international addresses. We can ship to APO and PO boxes.
