FAQ
What is Citizen Atelier?
Citizen Atelier is more than just an online gallery. It’s a close-knit community that brings together artists and art lovers with one big goal: to inspire with art. Citizen Atelier brings together work from both emerging and well-established international artists and photographers. Founded by art dealer Alessandra Salituri in 2014, the Atelier carefully curates an inspiring collection of pieces with a bold and ethereal aesthetic, that are made with only the highest quality materials. The Atelier hopes to take the guessing work out of finding beautiful art by offering a one-stop marketplace for authentic and one-of-a-kind pieces.
What is a limited-edition print?
Limited-edition indicates that the artist is committed to creating no more than a certain number of prints for that given work. This exclusive nature of a limited-edition print raises its value. Art marked as such comes personally hand-signed and numbered by the artist and are custom-made to order. Once the print is sold out, it can no longer be reproduced. See image listings for edition numbers.

Do you do custom-orders?
Yes, in certain cases we certainly can. Please contact us at info@citizenatelier.com and tell us about what you are looking for.
Can I order a mat for my frame?
Yes, we can incorporate a mat at an additional charge. All standard frame prices on the website exclude mats, so please contact us at info@citizenatelier.com for more information.
What type of glass do you use on your frames?
We use UV-filtering plexiglass for all frames, which is lighter, scratch-resistant and shatter-resistant. It also provides more UV protection and less glare than glass. While plexiglass is more costly than glass, it has become the industry standard for most art dealers and galleries, due to its quality and durability. Read more about our framing process here.

How do I care for my frame?
To clean your framed piece, follow these dos and don’ts:
Do remove dust by blowing on the frame
Do not use your hands or a dry cloth to remove dust
Do clean the frame with a small amount of mild soap or detergent mixed with lukewarm water. Use a clean, soft cloth or sponge. Dry by blotting gently with a lint-free cloth. Instead of soap, you can also use a cleaner designed for acrylic surfaces.
Do not use a household cleaner like Windex or products that contain ammonia.
Do not use any abrasive material while cleaning your plexiglass, as it can scratch the surface.
