Biography

Yigal Pardo was born in Jerusalem, Israel. With a degree in professional photography, he has been working as a freelance photographer for museums, galleries and curators in New York, Tel Aviv and Herzliya for the past 25 years.

Specializing in landscape photography, Yigal takes real-life scenes and transforms them into the realm of the surreal. He explores the fundamental characteristics that separate different subjects on both a visual and philosophical level. In his “Confettical Landscape” series, he connects the landscape, which is fixed in time, with the confetti blown in the air, which is transient, thereby creating a hybrid moment that leads the viewer into Yigal’s surreal world and their own imagination.
