Biography
Ashley Woodson Bailey was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She earned a BFA in Art History and Art from the University of Texas in Austin. Before pursuing a career as an artist, Ashley was a floral designer for two decades in Dallas, Houston, New York City, Savannah, Atlanta and Austin. After a life-changing accident in 2012 that left her physically unable to work for large-scale events, she sought to create a lasting flower arrangement through the lens of a camera and began her journey as a self-taught photographer.
As an artist, Ashley is fully and completely defined by florals. Her “Dark” collection was inspired by the transition of the flower from a lovely blossom to a dying stem and the deep desire to preserve that metamorphosis. Her work has been published in House Beautiful, Gardenista and Design Sponge, among others, and also featured in the homes of Jessica Alba and Erin Foster.
