Jenna Polla is a contemporary abstract painter from Mississauga, Ontario. Her work embraces imperfection, as she creates abstract compositions layered in dramatic brushstrokes, nuanced textures and muted colours. Each of her paintings begin with little preparation; acting primarily on impulse, Jenna uses her physical movement to dictate the flow of the piece.
Her most recent paintings feature loose brushwork, muted tones and layers of different colours. The faces of her pieces are worked and re-worked, expressing introspection in the face of creation. Her work is featured in private collections across Canada, Europe and the US.
